Another day, another airport...

I'm headed to New Orleans for a work event that will last all weekend.  At least, it's in one of my favorite places, I'm already dreaming about the food.  At this point, I've got packing down to a science and honestly never unpack certain bags, like all my must have makeup products and skin care items.

I discovered a new luggage line that I'm loving, called Paravel.  The pieces are cute and they were tested for over a year by the owners, so they hold up!  They come in four different colors and a variety of pieces.  My favorites are the grand tour duffle and the cross-body capsule.

I found some of the most deliciously soft and cute tees and sweatshirts here.  They are all Southern themed, which is clearly a selling point for me, but honestly the materials they use has me hooked!  Check them out-Kentucky for Kentucky!

Weekend Vibes

I had the best long weekend-super relaxing!  Saturday night my friends and I headed to Kindred in Davidson-the most magical place with magical food!  Sunday, I headed to Greensboro to celebrate my aunt and two cousins birthdays.  My sweet Mawmaw made some of my faves, cornbread and baked beans.

Sweet Coco fell asleep for a solid 30 min on me-all the sweetness!
One of the bday girls, Kellie!
M3 and I playing in my room at my parents.  He discovered all my baby dolls and was super into them...hahah!

My cute little dinner date!

Sweater Feels

I'm obsessed with this sweater and it's tie sleeves!  My friend was wearing it the other day and I immediately ordered it online at Zara.  It's super cozy and longer in the back!

Happy Friday, friends!  I'm laying low over this long weekend, with a quick trip up to Greensboro to celebrate my aunt and cousins bday and to grab M3 for a dinner date.

I don't know about y'all, but I'm in full on eating healthy, working out non-stop mode.  Time to whip it into gear!  Not to mention, I had the bright idea to get a physical the Tuesday after New Years and some of my numbers were no bueno.  Oh the joys of getting older and honestly being a woman.

Thomas Rhett is one of my favorite artist, he's super talented and an amazing songwriter.  His new single, "American Spirit" gives me all the feels.  This is just such a great song and something everyone should listen to. Have a great weekend!

2017's Word

One of my fabulous friends, Erin always comes up with a word for the year instead of resolutions.  She inspired me while we were doing hip-hop yoga to pick out my own word.  It simply popped into my head right away after she told me hers.  My 2017 word and mantra is: Open.  It reminds me of what my dad was telling all of us when we had a girls weekend at the beach: Palms up, accept the gift, namaste.  My goal this year is to be more open and to accepts the gifts as they come this year.  I think it's going to be a fabulous year!  Cheers to 2017!!

I'm Baaaccckkk....

What a fun, whirl-wind Christmas and New Years were!  I got to catch up with all my family and several friends over the break.  My mawmaw cooked us lunch the Friday before Christmas-so good, baked beans, corn and cornbread, just a few of my favorite things.  M3 legit woofed his down and was almost licking his plate.  Pawpaw took us for a gator ride in the woods, it was quite the adventure.

Christmas was amazing, filled with lots of cousins at the farm.  Soo much love in that house when we're all together!  M3 loved presents and was super pumped to help everyone open theirs as well.  Hardin was a sweet, happy little Buddha.   Being in Greensboro for a straight week was actually really nice and chill.  My parents and I worked out at the Club several times and had some sweet last minute parties out at the fire pit.  It's the longest I've been in Greensboro for years and I didn't hate it!

Friday before New Years, I flew down to NOLA to hang with my college roommate, Laura.  We had a great time, just chilling and ate at Emeril's new restaurant, Meril's-it was fabulous!   Saturday afternoon we drove to Mississippi for a house party and to ring in the New Year.  It was a perfect way to welcome 2017.
Pawpaw and M3-we sure do love our adventures!

The sweetest boys-Hardin and M3

My besties came over Christmas Eve night so I could see Hayes open her Christmas presents from me-she was obsessed with the baby doll I gave her!

My sweet Pawpaw and I on Christmas Eve-one of my favorite traditions, I cook Christmas Eve dinner every year

Happy Hardin

Mimi and M3 by the fire pit.  He grabbed her hand and said, "I miss you Mimi. I want to live with you and Big Pappy and Maymay too."  I think he misses our slumber parties we had while Hardin was in the hospital.  Sweet boy!
