Sweet Friday

Some of my friends and I are at the beach for a long weekend at Figure 8 Island.  The perfect time to lay out and do absolutely nothing but drink cocktails, gossip, read and relax.  Below is Sam Smith with his smash single, "Stay with Me" obsessed with this artist, totally counting down the days until his album drops!  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Long Weekend with a Sweet Babe

Obviously from the pictures above, I spent a LOT of time with a sweet little rambunctious babe, my nephew M3.  He is 15 months old and full of energy and curiosity.  The whole fam was at the beach to kick off summatime fun at Figure 8 Island.  There were lots of snuggles, baths, sandy feet, and climbing up and down stairs.  It was a wonderful start to the summatime and I can't wait to see how the summer progresses with Mr. dare devil M3.  I hope everyone has a great short week!

Looong Weekend

 

Happy Long Weekend!  This week has been a whirlwind, I graduated from the Executive Training program and am now on my way to furthering my career!  I also caught the plague, I sound like a 20 year smoker, hacking a lung every five seconds and I have a sexy man voice to go along with it, let me tell ya how dreamy that is!!!  I'm headed to the beach after hitting the doctor's office for hopefully some drugs that will cure this!  I hope everyone has a relaxing long weekend to kick off Summer the right way!  Here is Calvin Harris with, "Summer" sooo appropriate!

Sweet Weekend

Thank goodness for the weekend, hello longest week ever!  I'm hanging out with friends and then heading to Greensboro for a bridal shower with the fam on Sunday.  I'm basically obsessed with all of Lorde's songs, but I am really loving, "Tennis Courts."  Every time I hear it in my car I think of my mom, because she loves playing tennis, hahaha even though the song has nothing to do with the actual game of tennis!  Everyone have a fabulous weekend!

Surviving the Weekend

Naturally I headed to Greensboro to spend the weekend with Mama Jill.  Saturday, we had my cousin Lindsay's graduation at Carolina....a big deal since Miss Spartypants has not only graduated from the Business School, but she has also been accepted into the Masters of Accounting program!  Sadly the sweet little face above (aka M3) gave Mama Jill and I the stomach flu that hit us around 3am Sunday morning.  To say we were dying is a COMPLETE understatement, we were sequestered in our respective bathrooms pretty much all day with Papa Murray using Go-Go-Gadget arms to give us our Coke and Gatorade before departing the house in fear of catching the plague!  We are finally and I do mean baby steps finally starting to feel like ourselves again.  This years Mother's Day is definitely one Mama Jill will likely never forget and not because of the ahmazing presents she received.  Have a great week!

All About The White

I am loving all things white, especially the email that Anthropologie sent me this week that was focused solely on white pieces.  For me, growing up in the South meant that come Easter it was time to break out the white shoes and white pieces.  I stick to this tradition of saving white until Easter unless of course I'm in the Cayman Islands or somewhere tropical where rules don't apply.  My friends make fun of me because of how strict I am about following this rule, I just can't seem to break it!  I am wearing all the white I can....helloooo spring or summer in the South, it's already hot as blazes down here!

Le Lift

Le Lift is my new jam for my face.....I personally call it my Jesus Juice for the face.  I have been using the Le Lift Creme Riche, a little goes a long way, but I really slather it on my neck and chest.  Let's face it, it's never too early to start the anti-aging process and this is my new fave.  Packed full of great ingredients, it has a special acid unique to Chanel 3.5-DA that makes all the difference.  Mama Jill and I are on the band wagon and I am loving how soft and glowy my face is looking!  

Hot-Lanta aka Atlanta

 My friend Erin and I headed to Atlanta to see HAIM, helloooo best concert!!!  These chicks are sooo talented, it was ahmazing to watch and the theater was a converted church, so the venue was out of this world with stained glass windows and cool moldings.  We decided to ride this enormous Farris Wheel called Sky View, $13.50 will give you about a 20 minute ride and we went around at least 5 times.  It was extremely high and I was a little nervous on the first go-round, but after that it was a thrill.  Great views of the city and how many times can you say you rode a HUGE Farris Wheel in Atlanta?!?!?  Since our concert tickets were dirt cheap we decided to up the ante and stay at a fabulous hotel, hello St. Regis Atlanta in Buckhead!!  The most beautiful hotel along with the words, Miss. Murray, you've been upgraded....thanks American Express!  It was a breathtaking hotel, we came back to our room that night to find soft lighting, music playing, slippers on the bed, chocolates and a turn down service....pretty swanky or Sheshe as we are now calling it!  We had a breakfast of champs and then hit the pool area, not a bad way to start a Saturday!  The pool service was out of this world, so naturally we had a cocktail, a Sheshe spritzy cocktail that luckily enough was on the guilt free list of cocktails.....gotta love a hotel that is concerned about your waist line!  My bestie, Kippy's sister Sara happens to live next door and came over to hang by the pool with us!  Sadly we couldn't turn into Eloise and live at the St. Regis forever and had to hit the road back to Charlotte.
